Sponsor Drive
Dear Italian Organization,
Our work is important to students, armchair travelers and the sons, daughters and grandchildren of Italian Northern
Europe. It serves to strengthen the bonds between them and their Italian traditions and heritage. This Northern
Europe. It serves to strengthen the bonds between them and their Italian traditions and heritage. This bond is an
important part of Calabria’s future. Calabrian Life demonstrates to our reading audience that a quality and
enjoyable life can be led right here in the South of Italy.
and enjoyable life can be led right here in the South of Italy.
We are asking for your sponsorship to assist our efforts. Like all worthwhile endeavors, we expend a great deal of
effort doing our research, developing and translating our stories and publishing them to the web and printed format.
While the work is certainly rewarding, we (like the local public broadcasting system) hope to attract enough
investment to cover our costs.
Our approach is simple. We write honest stories about a broad range of topics regarding Calabria, telling of her
rich mythology, history, cuisine, traditions and modern life. We do this in several ways:
• Our “Dear All” series of short friendly emails tell human interest stories about the people and personal
experiences of living in Calabria
• Our web site offers our short stories in Dual Language print and audio format to assist students and Italian
speakers in reading and hearing them.
• Our Journals offer selected stories and other facts and ways about Calabria and Calabrian
• Our Italian lessons are offered for the beginning student as another tool to increase his/her Italian skills.
Our stories also portray the reality of Calabria to local Calabrians by describing how Calabria is perceived by
others. We believe this is a project worthy of being done well without influence or bias. With your support and the
support of other organizations, we can continue to do our work, and improve our content and deliverables. Thank
you for your consideration.
Please take a minute and pledge your financial support!
With Kind Regards,
Marty Sturino
