This site is dedicated to the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of those who at some
point left Calabria, family and friends behind in search of a better life. All of Italy is beautiful, and
each region has a wealth of stories and insights to share. We have chosen to focus our stories on
Southern Italian life along the Ionian Sea in Calabria, where we live and because Calabria is the
place from which so many have immigrated.
